How to Get the True Ending in Black Myth: Wukong

Complete the Secret Areas

To unlock the true ending, you need to finish the main secret areas before the final ending.

These secret areas are found in Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 4, and Chapter 5. Each one has its own hidden quest or requirement, and you need to defeat the boss inside each secret area.

The main secret bosses you need to clear are Elder Jinchi, Fuban, The Duskveil, and Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast.

Finish the Treasure Hunter Quest

You also need to complete the Treasure Hunter quest in Chapter 3. This quest is easy to miss, but it is required for unlocking the secret ending path.

Follow the quest until you reach the end and unlock the Spell Binder reward. After this, you should be ready to access the next secret step.

Go to the Great Pagoda

After completing the secret areas and Treasure Hunter quest, travel to the Great Pagoda in Chapter 3.

Go inside and head toward the large mural area. If you have done the requirements correctly, a cutscene should trigger and you will be taken to Mount Mei.

If nothing happens, you are probably missing one of the secret area bosses or the Treasure Hunter quest.

Defeat Erlang

At Mount Mei, you need to fight Erlang, the Sacred Divinity. This is one of the hardest fights in the game, so make sure your gear, healing, and build are ready.

After beating Erlang, you will also go through another major battle sequence. Finish this whole section to unlock the true ending requirement.

Beat the Final Boss Again

After defeating Erlang, return to the final boss and beat the game again.

This time, you should get the true ending instead of the normal ending. If you already beat the final boss before fighting Erlang, you still need to beat the final boss again after completing Mount Mei.
