Team Cherry officially revealed Hollow Knight: Silksong as the full sequel to Hollow Knight.

The game stars Hornet, one of the most popular characters from the original game, and sends her to a completely new kingdom.

From DLC to Full Sequel

Silksong was originally planned as extra content for Hollow Knight, but the project became too large and different to stay as DLC.

Instead, Team Cherry turned it into a full game with new areas, enemies, bosses, quests, tools, and movement abilities.

Why Fans Were Excited

The reveal was huge because Hollow Knight already had a dedicated fanbase.
