Act 3 in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 opens up the world map and gives you a lot of freedom, but not every area is meant to be cleared right away. This guide explains where to go first, how to prepare your party, and which late-game areas are better saved for later.

Start at Camp First
When Act 3 begins, go to camp and talk to your party members. This is one of the best things to do first because bond scenes can unlock useful upgrades, abilities, and extra dungeons.
Do not rush straight into random late-game areas. Some enemies in Act 3 are much stronger than they look, so it is better to prepare your party first.
Go to Lumiere for the Main Story
If you only want to continue the main story, fly to Lumiere. This is the final main dungeon and leads toward the ending.
You can still leave and come back, so entering Lumiere does not mean you have to finish everything right away. If you feel underleveled, leave and do more side content first.
Visit Easier Side Areas
Act 3 lets you fly to new areas across the world map. Some are easy reward areas, while others are much harder endgame zones.
Start with easier locations that give useful rewards, Pictos, weapons, outfits, or Colour of Lumina. These upgrades can make your party much stronger before you try the hardest fights.
The Fountain is also worth checking early, especially if you helped the white Nevrons during your playthrough.
Do Character Bond Content
Keep improving character bonds at camp. Some late-game dungeons and strong abilities are tied to bond progress.
The Reacher is one of the better Act 3 areas to do earlier because it gives good rewards and helps prepare your team for tougher endgame content.
Build Your Team Before Hard Areas
Before going into the hardest Act 3 zones, upgrade weapons, spend Colour of Lumina, equip better Pictos, and make sure each character has a clear role.
You want reliable damage, healing, AP generation, and survival passives. If enemies are wiping you out quickly, you probably need more levels or a better Lumina setup.
Save the Hardest Content for Later
Some Act 3 areas are designed for high-level teams. Places like Endless Tower, Flying Manor, Renoir’s Drafts, and other difficult optional zones should usually be saved until your party is stronger.
If an area feels impossible, leave it and come back later. Act 3 is open-ended, so you are not meant to clear everything in one strict order.
