How to Get the Zeus Armor in God of War Ragnarök

Start New Game Plus

Zeus Armor is only available in New Game Plus. You need to finish the main story first, then start a NG+ save.

You cannot get the Zeus Armor during your first normal playthrough, so do not waste time looking for it early.

Beat Gná for the Chest Piece

The Cuirass of Zeus is unlocked by defeating Gná, the Valkyrie Queen, in New Game Plus.

Gná is one of the hardest bosses in the game, so make sure your gear is upgraded and you are comfortable with dodging, blocking, and parrying before fighting her.

Complete Remnants of Asgard

The other Zeus Armor pieces are unlocked from certain Remnants of Asgard in New Game Plus.

These are post-game enemy camps that appear after finishing the main story. Clear the required Remnants and open the reward chests to get the remaining Zeus pieces.

What Zeus Armor Does

Zeus Armor is a high-risk, high-damage armor set. It greatly increases Kratos’ Melee and Runic damage, but also makes him take more damage from enemies.

This set is best for confident players who can avoid getting hit. If you struggle with dodging or boss attacks, a safer armor set may be better.

Should You Use Zeus Armor?

Use Zeus Armor if you want maximum damage and enjoy a risky playstyle. It can melt enemies quickly, but one mistake can cost you the fight.

If you want more survivability, use a defensive set like Steinbjörn or a balanced set instead.
