Where to Find the Mystical Heirloom in God of War Ragnarök

Get the Draupnir Spear First

You need the Draupnir Spear before you can get the Mystical Heirloom. If you do not have it yet, keep playing the main story until you unlock it.

The spear is needed to break the ice wall that blocks the relic.

Go to the Lake of Nine

Travel to Midgard and head to the Lake of Nine. From Tyr’s Temple, go southwest across the frozen lake.

Look for a cracked ice wall with a glowing spear point. This shows that you can use the Draupnir Spear there.

Break the Ice Wall

Throw the Draupnir Spear into the glowing crack, then detonate it to break the wall.

After the wall opens, head inside the small hidden area. You may need to deal with enemies nearby, so be ready for a quick fight.

Pick Up the Mystical Heirloom

Inside the hidden area, look on the ground for the Mystical Heirloom relic. Pick it up and equip it from your relic menu if you want to use it.

The item description makes it seem useless, but it is actually used for hidden boss fights.

What Mystical Heirloom Is Used For

Mystical Heirloom is used to wake sleeping troll statues and one stone dragon. These enemies are optional bosses.

Defeating the trolls gives you Slumber Stones, which are used to craft the Steinbjörn armour set. This makes the Mystical Heirloom worth getting if you want one of the best defensive armour sets in the game.
