How to Reach Act 3 in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Spoiler Warning

Act 3 is a secret late-game part of Hollow Knight: Silksong, so this guide includes major story and progression spoilers.

Before trying to unlock Act 3, you should already be near the end of Act 2 and ready to complete a lot of side content.

Beat the Final Boss First

To start working toward Act 3, you need to beat the Act 2 final boss at least once. After the credits, reload your save file and continue from there.

This lets you keep playing and finish the extra requirements needed for the secret Act 3 route.

Complete the Wish Board Quests

Next, complete the Wish Board quests across the main settlements. This includes wishes from places like Bone Bottom, Bellhart, and Songclave.

Focus on clearing the quests that appear on the boards, including combat tasks, collection requests, delivery-style objectives, and settlement-related wishes.

If the Act 3 quest is not appearing yet, unfinished wishes are usually one of the main reasons.

Rescue the Fleas and Move the Caravan

You also need to rescue enough Lost Fleas for the Flea Caravan to move to its final location. Keep checking in with the caravan as you rescue more fleas, because they move to new areas over time.

The important goal is to get the caravan to its final destination. If you are stuck, keep exploring older areas for missing fleas and return to the caravan after finding more.

Get Your Bellhome

After clearing the needed wishes, you should be able to get your own Bellhome in Bellhart. This is part of the late-game setup needed before the Act 3 quest becomes available.

Once you have your Bellhome, check the board again and look for the Silk and Soul wish.

Complete the Silk and Soul Wish

Silk and Soul is the main quest that unlocks the Act 3 path. After accepting it, you need to collect the required soul items and prepare the trap for Grand Mother Silk.

The quest will send you across Pharloom, so make sure you are upgraded and ready for tough areas and fights.

Return to the Final Boss

After finishing Silk and Soul, go back to the final boss arena and fight Grand Mother Silk again.

At the end of the fight, do not choose the normal ending prompt. Use the Needolin prompt when it appears. This changes the ending and unlocks the route into Act 3.

Reload Your Save After the Credits

After the new ending and credits, reload your save file. If you completed everything correctly, your save will continue into Act 3.

From there, Pharloom changes and new late-game content becomes available.
